Fly the flag

I quite enjoy seeing the parade of flags on Alexandra Street. Fieldays, land wars and Christmas events are notified through these flags.

However, why don’t we see more New Zealand flags flown on the various flag poles around town? I am well aware of the protocol regarding military flags – the raising and lowering at sunrise and sunset.

Te Awamutu is known for its roses. There could be an official rose flag. We could become a flag town. Fly the New Zealand flag  – be proud of the red, white and blue.
