Dam story tops stats

A feature story on Arapuni Dam’s hidden past was the most read post on the Te Awamutu News website last month.

College students bringing the story of racial integration in the 1960s came in second followed closely by Kihikihi resident Donna West’s plan to seek treatment for breast cancer in Australia.

Rounding out the top five were Aunties Laundromat owners Donna Missen and Dave Crone and the 100,000 Fieldays smart bands they washed and Te Awamutu College Year 13 student Charlee Neilson’s selection in the New Zealand junior squash team to compete in Canada this month. Website visits were up 11 per cent on the previous month.

The website’s home page and e-Editions continue to rank as the most visited with Thursday the busiest day.
